Accessibility Statement

AMR Junk Removal is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.

Last updated: September 4, 2026

Our commitment

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That standard is published by the World Wide Web Consortium and is the benchmark referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act and California's Unruh Civil Rights Act. We treat it as a working requirement, not a checkbox.

What we've built in

  • Semantic HTML structure with a single, descriptive heading hierarchy on every page
  • A "skip to main content" link for keyboard and screen-reader users
  • Full keyboard navigability — every link, button, form field, and accordion works without a mouse
  • Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
  • Descriptive alternative text on all meaningful images, and decorative images hidden from assistive technology
  • Form labels programmatically tied to their inputs, with errors announced inline rather than by color alone
  • Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG AA ratios for body text, headings, and interactive controls
  • Text that reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320px wide and remains readable when zoomed to 200%
  • Touch targets sized for comfortable use on phones
  • Respect for the operating system's "reduce motion" preference — animations are disabled when you ask for that
  • Accordions, menus, and dialogs built with correct ARIA states so their behavior is announced accurately

Known limitations

Some content is outside our direct control. The embedded map is provided by Google, and its interactive controls follow Google's own accessibility implementation. We load the map only when you request it, and every piece of information the map conveys — the cities we serve and how to reach us — is also available as plain text and links elsewhere on the page.

Ongoing effort

Accessibility is not a one-time project. We review new pages and features as they are added, test with keyboard navigation and automated tooling, and fix issues as we find them. If a third-party component ever falls short, we look for a replacement or provide an accessible alternative path to the same information.
