Who you're actually calling

AMR Junk Removal is locally owned and operated in Placer County by Travis Nunes and his family. When you call (916) 584-5584, you get the owner, not a national dispatch line routing your job to whichever contractor happens to be available.

Travis started this in March 2026 the way most good local businesses start: a truck, a strong back, and neighbors who needed a hand getting rid of things too heavy to move alone. The promise hasn't moved since. Show up when we said. Do the heavy part. Charge what we quoted.

As a father of two, Travis takes pride in showing up, working hard, and treating every customer with respect. This company was built on love, resilience, and doing things the right way — and that's still the standard every job gets held to.

Our story

The heart behind AMR Junk Removal

AMR Junk Removal was built in honor of Ashlee Michelle Rhodes — a loving wife, a devoted mother, and the heart behind everything we do. The letters on our trucks are her initials.

She believed in helping people, showing up with integrity, and making a difference in everyday lives. Losing her changed everything for our family, and this company is how we keep carrying what she stood for into ordinary days and ordinary work.

That's the standard behind every job — whether it's one couch in Lincoln or a full estate cleanout in Auburn. This was built on love, resilience, and doing things the right way.

In loving memory of Ashlee Michelle Rhodes

What we stand on

Four things we don't compromise on

Transparent, upfront pricing

You get the number before we load anything, and that number is what you pay. No fuel surcharges invented at the curb, no 'we found more than expected' conversation after the truck is full. If the job genuinely changes, we stop and talk to you first.

Family owned, not franchised

There's no corporate parent taking a cut and setting our prices. That means we can price a job for what it actually is, take the small jobs the big outfits turn down, and answer for our own work.

Donation and recycling first

Every load gets sorted. Usable furniture and housewares go to local donation partners, metal and cardboard go to recycling, and the landfill gets whatever genuinely has nowhere else to go — which is a lot less than most people assume.

Free estimates, no pressure

Ask for a price, sit on it, compare it, call us back in three weeks. Estimates are free and genuinely no-obligation. We'd rather you feel good about the decision than feel cornered into it.

Our disposal philosophy

The landfill is the last resort

It would be faster and cheaper for us to drive every load straight to the transfer station. We don't, because most of what people call junk isn't. A dining set that no longer fits a room still feeds a family somewhere. A washer that died still contains a great deal of recyclable steel.

So after each job the load gets separated by hand: donate, recycle, dispose. It adds time to our day and it's the part of this work we're proudest of.
